Green Dog is Keith Haring's dog, taken off a carousel and turned into a long seat for the home. Haring designed the carousel for Luna Luna, the amusement park made entirely by artists, among them Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Hockney and Rebecca Horn, which opened in Hamburg in 1987. After Luna Luna reopened at The Shed in New York, Gufram chose two of the carousel seats, the crawling baby and the dog, and produced them in 2025.
The figure is made of soft polyurethane and finished in Guflac®, so Haring's flat, graphic line becomes a solid shape: a teal green body outlined in a darker line. It is 184 cm long, 35 cm deep and 66.5 cm high and weighs 20 kg. As with all Gufram pieces, the finish is applied by hand and small variations are part of it.
From the same carousel, Gufram also makes the crawling baby as Blue Baby and Red Baby.
